Chiefs CT City Update: Match Officials Going To FNB

Kaizer Chiefs might find themselves 8n hot waters if they end up puing a no show for their home game against Cape Town City which is scheduled to be played at the FNB stadium on Saturday at 18:00, this comes after they wrote a letter to the PSL ee question a postponement of of their fixture citing Covid-19 cases.

After Amakhosi released a statement announcing that they will not be hosting Cape Town City as per fixture because they don't have enough players to can honour the fixture since they have 31 personell who have tested positive for Covid-19, they therefore feel they could be risking a spread of the virus should they continue to honour their game.

Reports emerging suggests that the officials scheduled to offciate the game will be going to the stadium as they were tasked to, what happened thereafter will not be their responsibility since they are not part of it.

According to, the referee and his assistants, the match Commissioner as well as the fourth official will be heading to the FNB stadium, joining them at the FNB stadium will be the whole SuperSport TV crew who will be doing love reporting from the stadium.

"It can now be revealed that the PSL match commissioner, match officials and SuperSport crew will all be reporting at the FNB Stadium for Saturday's 18:00 Kick-off," the publication reports.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys have also release another statement on Friday night confirming that they are not going to host Cape Town City, However, the league has not responded to Chiefs' request, that means the game is expected to take place as scheduled, nobody knows what will happen if Chiefs end up not showing up for the game, we will just have to wait for 18:00 and see what will unfold.
