We bring you updates on Kaizer Chiefs' latest goalkeeper kits and how the fans have reacted on social media.
The three new goalkeeper uniforms for the upcoming season were unveiled by the Amakhosi on social media on Monday. The club's goalies will don the purple, red, or green stripes throughout the campaign.
Fans of the team will have to decide which of the three variations they find to be the most aesthetically pleasing, but there will also be a fight for the starting spot on the field between Itumeleng Khune, Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma, and Bontle Molefe.
Despite making just one appearance in all competitions last season, Khune was recently confirmed as the club captain for the 2022–2023 campaign. In goal, Petersen and Daniel Akpeyi—who has since left the club—were frequently preferred.
Bruce Bvuma, a goalie for Bafana Bafana and a graduate of the Chiefs programme, will also be vying for the shirt, while young Molefe, another rising star, will fill in the gaps.
