REVEALED| Sundowns Coach Mokwena Spilled The Beans About Zungu Deal

A major bombshell was dropped by Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena regarding the newest member of the club's roster, Bongani Zungu.

On Saturday afternoon, before the game against Kaizer Chiefs, it was announced that Downs had signed Zungu, and the announcement came just before kickoff.

After spending some time away from the club due to a move overseas, the player has decided to come back and play for the organization.

The player also signed with the club as a free agent after having his contract with Amiens, a Scottish club, expire and becoming a free agent. This allowed him to join the club without incurring any fees.

The announcement that the 29-year-old player would be joining Sundowns was made in front of fans at Loftus, and it was the biggest surprise of the day.

Before Zungu made the decision to return to the Brazilians, he was being pursued by a number of other teams.

The Chiefs were reportedly one of the teams that were interested in signing him, but the player decided to remain with the team he had previously played for.

Mokwena has expressed gratitude to the player for declining lucrative offers from the Brazilians in order to remain with the team.

When questioned by the media Mokwena has congratulated everyone from the club who was involved in securing the player's signature and has insisted that the transaction was a very difficult one.

"Due to the fact that Bongani was considering other offers, I would also like to thank him for his patience and trust. And Bongani made the conscious decision to come to us, despite our demands on his patience, "said Mokwena.

The head coach also disclosed that Zungu was presented with lucrative offers from other clubs, but he decided to sign with Sundowns despite these other opportunities.

Mokwena would also like to express his appreciation to the player's mother and family for their support in his decision to play for Sundowns rather than for one of the other clubs.

Because Zungu is also a good player, the competition should be exciting because the club has a lot of other good players competing for the same position as Zungu and Zungu is among those good players.

When the Brazilian returns to action, the player's goal will be to make his first appearance since returning to the club shortly after the Brazilian's return.
