But a lot of South African football fans don't know that Mato Madlala and Shawn "MaMkhize" Mkhize, two successful and well-known businesswomen, also own PSL clubs.
Both of these successful businesswomen own teams from the coastal province of Kwa Zulu Natal. Their teams are called Golden Arrows and Royal AM. At the very least, the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season has been interesting so far, with new teams like Royal AM beating the so-called "big" teams. Most of their success can be traced back to their founder Shawn Mkhize and their chairman Andile Mpisane.
There are also a number of important people behind the success of Royal AM who make sure that the "ship" sails smoothly. Sources have since told us that another successful businesswoman, Dr. Nozipho Mkhize Ngubo, is also responsible for the team's success. She is currently a board member at Royal AM.
Most football fans found out on Saturday, when they both got their doctorates, that Dr. Nozipho Mkhize Ngubo is the founder of Royal AM's sister. Dr. Nozipho Mkhize Ngubo is making a name for herself in business, in addition to being known as the sister of "MaMkhize." Since then, we've heard from different sources that she started Lungza Management Consultants and is also the Director of Nosgas Tank Terminals.
We have also found out that she is a Director at Sinoxolo Trading and plays a big part in running the MaMkhize Foundation, just to name a few of the businesses she is involved with.
