Former Maritzburg United defender and the current DSTV Premier Soccer League defender of season Rushine De Reuck is set to be a great replacement for the late Motjeka Madisha. Motjeka Madisha was involved in a car accident in December 2020, where he lost his life while traveling home from the team's Gala Dinner in Sandton. Ever since Madisha's untimely passing, Sundowns have been on the lookout for Madisha's replacement.
Mandela Onyango has done no wrong in stepping up to the void left by the late Madisha. Sundowns have managed to secure Rushine De Reuck from Maritzburg United, De Reuck will fit into the current Mamelodi Sundowns setup or system of play. Madisha always had the composure and the ability to start the balls at the back, with the leadership of Nascimendo, Madisha was becoming one of the best defenders in the DSTV Premier Soccer League.
With the arrival of De Reuck Sundowns have surely found the perfect replacement for Motjeka Madisha, De Reuck offers more like what Madisha was offering. With the 3-4-2-1 formation, De Reuck will excel as he is used to playing in a formation that mostly applies the 3 men at the back, so De Rueck will settle just fine on the Sundowns setup.
