BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs say goodbye to a 12th player

There are no shocks as the 12th player to leave Kaizer Chiefs during the current transfer window has been confirmed! Anthony Akumu, a Kenyan player, has finally departed Chiefs after the team had placed him on their transfer list in June.

Although Akumu still had one year left on his Chiefs contract, his time at Naturena was finished as a result of the club's decision to transfer-list him.

And the reason for that is that, despite playing a variety of positions on the field during his two years with the Chiefs, he made very little of an influence.

Soon after he was placed on the transfer list, there were already rumors that Akumu might be returning to Zambia or moving to Tanzania.

But because Akumu was still under contract to the Soweto giants, whoever wanted him had to first speak to the Chiefs.

However, Chiefs stated they had agreed to part company with Akumu amicably and that he could now sign with any club he chose.

The 29-year-old departs Chiefs after spending his two-year stint making 47 appearances across all leagues and scoring twice.
