Should Chiefs Be On 13 or 14 Games?

After all the hype that has been making rounds on social media, one would have though that by now, Kaizer Chiefs would have played 14 games on the log, but according to the DStv Premiership log, Chiefs have played 13 games, the one which is on the headlines is not counted, they did not honour their fixture against Cape Town City which was suppose to be played at the FNB stadium on Saturday.

The law States that a team that fails to honour their game, three points will be docked from that team and there is a possibility of a fine, but somehow on the log, Chiefs still appear to have played 13 games instead of fourteen, while on the other hand Cape Town City also appear to have played 11 instead of twelve.

That could mean that as it stands, Chiefs may break the rules as they like and nothing would be done, every soccer fan thought the game would have been added to those that Chiefs played by now but no, the game is nowhere.

Yes, Chiefs write to the league, but they did not get any response from the league, they had no right to pull a no show, but they did and they even went on and announced that they will not be able to host Cape Town City, however, Cape Town Cityade their trip to FNB stadium on Saturday to honour their fixture, only to find the FNB stadium locked.and they did the pre-match formalities inside the bus.

What doesn’t make sense is that the number of games Chiefs played hasn't changed when everyone is saying they should forfeit the three points to theor opponents, but the points were not awarded to Cape Town City.

If nothing changes in the log, this could set a wrong precedence to the teams, they will decide not honour their games knowing that nothing will be done.
