SOWETO : South Africa woke up to the shocking news of a transfer of epic proportion.
Number 1, the transfer window has closed so no one expected any movement right now.
Number 2, the transfer that took place is not a transfer of a soccer but of a football fan..
As bizzare as it sounds, it has actually come to pass with various media houses such as Newzroom Afrika, Kickoff, IDiski Times, Rayon Media Sports reporting on this bizzare transfer.
Chauke says she has been supporting the Buccaneers since 1989 and has only failed to attend one home game for the past 32 years.
With such incredible pedigree, one would feel that she would be a Buccaneer for life, as the motto of the club reads once a pirate, always a pirate.
But Chauke has seemingly broke that motto and has joined the newest kids on the block, Royal AM.
The move came as a shock to many South Africans as Royal AM are just a new side in the DStv Premiership.
But Mama Joy had words to support her decision to swap teams.
"I was inspired by MamKhize's love and passion," said Chauke
"I saw this when Royal AM were denied to come to the DStv Premiership by Sekhukhune United and the PSL. I saw how hurt MamKhize was and it pained me."
"But because she is a strong woman, who loves football, she didn't give up, she went on to buy the Premiership status of Bloemfontein Celtic and that was when she won my heart"
As shocking as it is, the transfer has actually taken place and Mama Joy has already been spotted in the her new regalia of the KwaZulu-Natal side.
