Playing for a club that's as big as Mamelodi Sundowns can sometimes weigh heavily on some players especially when the competition to be a regular name on the teamsheet gets tougher. That's the predicament that Tiyani Mabunda finds himself in at Chloorkop.
The 32-year-old played a huge role during Pitso Mosimane's unprecedented success at Chloorkop and he's one of the most versatile midfielders for the Brazilians.
However the Bafana Bafana midfielder has been sent down the pecking order since Pitso Mosimane left the club. He hasn't featured in any official match for the Chloorkop giants this season.
He was previously linked with a move to Soweto giants Moroka Swallows leading up to the transfer window but the move didn't materialise.
According to sources the Brazilians will not renew Mabunda's contract as it comes to an end at the end of the season which means he will be a free agent. No team has showed interest in offering him a contract so far.
