Chiefs Is The Engen Knockout Challenge Champions After Win Against Sundowns.
The Engen Knockout Challenge were played over the course of three days with numerous clubs showcasing their talent and a chance to be crowned as the champions among others.
Kaizer Chiefs was outstanding as they delivered stellar performances throughout the tournament, and earlier on Sunday the club won 2-0 against School of Excellence in the semi-finals to reach the final.
Mamelodi Sundowns reached the final on Sunday after winning their semi-finals fixture against SuperSport United 3-2 after a penalty shootout.
Kao Chiefs opened the scoring in the final against Sundowns as Mabaso scored in the 16th minute for the 1-0 lead. Sundowns made a comeback as they scored to level on 1-1 as the match ended in a draw.
The match was forced to go to penalties to determine a winner and Chiefs won the penalty shootout as the squad was crowned the Engen Knockout Challenge Champions.
The young Kaizer Chiefs squad was phenomenal and deserved the trophy by the way they performed.
The young side made the best of the last three days and it finally paid off for the boys.
