One of Kaizer Chiefs most versatile players has been Njabulo Blom. The right back has been the epitome of hard work since being promoted to the senior team by former coach Enest Middendorp.
What Blom, who turned 22 last month, has got going for him on the European front is that he recently joined Rob Moore’s stable.
Moore is a former club owner in the PSL, who is now a renowned agent with an impressive list of players, among them Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic!
You can expect Moore to look for opportunities abroad for Blom, especially if he continues to feature for Bafana Bafana and grow his profile on the international stage – the World Cup in Qatar would have been another ideal platform had SA qualified.
According to Siya sources, Blom’s current contract at Chiefs is expected to expire in June 2024, suggesting there is actually no rush to tie him down to a new one just yet because Amakhosi still have a big say on his future.
However, his form and consistency is thought to be one of the reasons why the club is happy to revisit his existing terms.
The other, the Siya crew has been led to believe, is to look ahead and not only secure his long-term future, but a serious return on investment should he move abroad.
