Arsenal defeated Newcastle United 2-0 in today's Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium in London. Mikel Arteta's players were utterly outclassed by Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium, despite scoring two goals themselves.
Nuno Tavares provided a great pass to Bukayo Saka in the attacking third, and the Nigerian forward scored in the 56th minute to give his team the lead. It took until the 66th minute for Gabriel Martinelli to score to complete the comeback and make it 2-0.
Despite the fact that Arsenal had a chance to take a 1-0 lead in the first half of this game, the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a golden chance to score in the 37th minute of the game, but he couldn't convert it. In terms of performance, he hasn't been very impressive this season.
Gabriel Martinelli and Alexandre Lacazette may be forced to take over Aubameyang's position on a permanent basis if he continues to blow opportunities to score goals for the Gunners.
The introduction of Martinelli came in the 64th minute, courtesy of Mikel Arteta. It took only 2 minutes for this Brazilian to score in the 66th minute, which was less than 2 minutes after he entered the field of play.
It's possible that Lacazette did not squander the opportunity that Aubameyang did, but it's possible that he did.
