Mamelodi Sundowns are taking the January transfer window by storm as they signed Surprise Ralani from Cape Town City FC very early on in the transfer window, with another player Erwin Saavedra from Bolivia, and now they signed another local player according to the player's agent. Sundowns are currently in the top seat in the DStv Premiership log with a runaway lead which is more then 10 points from their closest competitor. At this stage, Mamelodi Sundowns looks most likely to win the domestic league title again.
But who knows some of the clubs close to Sundowns can still catch up, all depends on Sundowns performance going forward. Sundowns completed some impressive signings as they look to remain in the first place spot and strengthen their squad for the CAF Champions League tournament. Surprise Ralani will fit in perfectly with the team, while we'll have to wait and see how Erwin Saavedra would adapt to the South African club.
According to latest reports Mamelodi Sundowns finally signed Teboho Mokoena in the January transfer window, as Mokoena's agent confirmed the signing with an announcement from both SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns imminent. Mamelodi Sundowns was believed to be very interested in the services of Teboho Mokoena as they tabled an offer for the player and in previous news reports it was believed that they agreed terms, and now according to Glyn Binkin who is Mokoena's agent, the player signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Sundowns.
Kaizer Chiefs has now lost out as they were also linked with reported interest to sign Teboho Mokoena with Sundowns now the lucky club to have landed his signature. “I don’t like to talk about these things, but yes I can confirm that the player agreed terms last week and subsequently put pen to paper. All this is subject to the two clubs agreeing, but I believe an announcement is now imminent", Binkin told the media.
