Serie A

Chiefs' striker Samir Nurkovic has been offered a new deal by a Saudi Arabian club.

It has been reported that a Saudi Arabian club Abha FC have threw in USD 400 000 (approximately R6.63 million) as they are bidding to get the Kaizer Chiefs' striker Samir Nurkovic.

The offer was received on Monday by Chiefs management as they were trying to look at their options about the possibilities of letting Nurkovic go. However, the Serbian striker was instrumental in the Chiefs set up in the 2019/20 season and he has been recognized as an asset of the club. Also, the offer seemed a bit low considering Nurkovic's talent and what he can do on the field. According to, this might lead to Nurkovic's exit from Naturena. Also, this is the first official offer that has been put on paper by the Saudi Professional League club. It has caught the Chiefs' eyes and chances of it getting approved are high.

Abha FC couldn't help it but be attracted to Nurkovic's abilities to score and creating goals. He scored 14 goals in the first season at Amakhosi and by the looks of things Abha wants to increase her salary as well. However, Chiefs have offered a new and improved three-year contract to Nurkovic so that he can't exit the club. Surely, the North African club has made The Phefeni Glamour Boys rethink their payment structure to effective players in the club.
