It is believed that the Prince Mangosuthu Cup have apperoached both Kaizer Chiefs Football Club and also the Dstv Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns, as they are hoping to see them participating in the competition.

According to The South African, a clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs could be something that the fans could witness soon.
A source also stated that the Chloorkop based side, Mamelodi Sundowns have already agreed to participate in the competition.
Kaizer Chiefs are yet to respond to the competition, however, the hosts are hoping they also agree.
Having both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns in the competition could bring a lot of supporters and also entertainment.
It is reported that the competition will be hosted at the KwaZulu-Natal side, uLundi in July.
Apart from Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, the KwaZulu-Natal duo Amazulu and Richards Bay Football Club will also be participating in the competition.
Mamelodi Sundowns did participating the last time the competition was hosted.
