Another PSL Coach To Be Shown The Door This Year? See Who It Is
The Premier Soccer League might see another coach leave before 2022 strikes. The PSL has seen many coaching changes in 2021 either due to coaches not performing to expectations, interest from other clubs, or internal personal disputes, but whatever the reason may be, the changes has been rather larger than usual this year. SuperSport United might be the next Club in the PSL to rid of one of their coaches as latest reports indicates that his contract is coming to an end at the end of the month.
SuperSport United's youth coach Kwanele Kopo is said to be on his last weeks of his contract as it is set to expire on the last day of December. As his contract draws near to expiration, the coach has indicated himself that there is no talks by the club to renew his contract to go on to further developing the youth team's talent. A source has revealed to the media, "Kwanele Kopo is one of the coaches leaving SuperSport United".
"He remains one of the most successful coaches in the country who has produced many talented players including the likes of Tebogo Mokoena and Sipho Mbule who are now with the senior team.
"It's just an unfortunate situation that the club has to part ways with a credible record in the development of football in the country", he further added to his comments.
Kopo also confirmed that his contract is soon to expire at the end of the month as he said, "My contract with SuperSport United is due to expire at the end of this month, and the club has not yet indicated if will renew it", said Kopo.
Kwanele Kopo was also an assistant coach for Bafana Bafana and if it comes to leaving SuperSport United, he will find a coaching job again with his expertise.
