After breaking his silence on Erik Ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo gives a strong hint he is staying.

After a dismal season at Old Trafford, Ronaldo, 37, is about to enter the final year of his current contract, and there have been indications he may look for a new club in the summer.

After breaking his silence on incoming boss Erik ten Hag, the Portugal has now hinted that he will stay with the Red Devils.

After signing a three-year contract with the possibility of a fourth, the Dutchman will take charge of United at the end of the season.

And Ronaldo is looking forward to working with Ten Hag, who just won the Dutch Eredivisie title for the third time with Ajax.

"I know he did a fantastic job at Ajax and is an experienced coach," Ronaldo told United's website. "But we have to give him time."

"Things must shift in his favor. If you succeed, Manchester United will succeed as a whole, so I wish you luck.

"Not only as players, but also as fans, we are all thrilled and excited [about the arrival]."

"We have to believe that we can win titles next year."

In his first season back in English football, Ronaldo has 24 goals in 39 games.

However, he is expected to finish the season without a trophy for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

If Ronaldo stays at United next year, it will be his first season without playing in the Champions League.
