Agent Confirms Mokoena Deal with Mamelodi Sundowns

The agent of Teboho Mokoena has confirmed that the player has signed a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Supersport United highly rated star has been making headlines over the past few weeks after he has been linked with a couple of clubs.

The player was linked with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Belgium outfit Anderlecht.

However it seems like the Brazilians have beaten both Amakhosi and the Belgian outfit to the signature of the player.

After having an impressive performance this season for SSU it was evident that the player would potentially leave the club, with cross town rivals be his next destination.

According to the player's agent Glyn Binkin, Mokoena has already signed a deal with Sundowns and will join the club this January transfer window.

"I don’t like to talk about these things, but yes I can confirm that the player agreed terms last week and subsequently put pen to paper," confirming Binkin.

The player signed a four-and-a-half year contract to join the cross town rivals.

Binkin added that the two clubs agreed on a deal and an announcement is set to be made in the next coming days.

Sundowns have already confirmed one new signing this current January transfer window which is Bradley Ralani who signed a short term deal with the club from Cape Town City.

The club is looking to strengthen their squad further as they will be competing in three different competitions.

Indications are that Mokoena will form a part of Sundowns squad that will participate in the CAF champions League group stages.

The player will be looking to lift his first league title with the club this season.

The Brazilians are currently at the summit of the DStv premiership log table with 14 points clear on top.

The club will return to action in mid February after the Africa Cup of Nations.
