Kaizer Chiefs announce ninth signing

These Kaizer Chiefs are serious about their work. Edmilson Dove has been brought on by Amakhosi after the club took him on as a free agent.

EDMILSON DOVE ANNOUNCED BY KAIZER CHIEFS

After impressing coach Arthur Zwane during a successful trial spell at Amakhosi since July, the former star player for Cape Town City, who is now 28 years old, managed to persuade Zwane that he is the left-footed central defender Amakhosi has been searching for. The Mozambique national team player has officially signed a contract with the club that is valid for two years and includes a clause giving the club the chance to extend it for an additional year.

In the meantime, Zwane is getting his team ready for their away match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus on Saturday at 15:00. The match will take place in Loftus.

DOUBLE THE ACTION WITH JUST ONE PLAYER

The Glamour Boys have effectively acquired the services of two players for the price of one with the signing of Dove. The former Citizen plays football on the left side of the central defense unit in addition to the left back position. He has also played left back.

According to Amakhosi, the talented left-footer who is able to play at wing-back and center-back has been practicing with Amakhosi and will be eligible to play once his paperwork has been finalized.

Recently, Coach Zwane was cited in the media saying that the squad urgently needs a left-footer in the heart of defense to send long passes to players like Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat, and Ashley Du Preez.

It is anticipated that the Chiefs will add at least one more center forward prior to the 22nd of September, when the transfer window will close.
