In the current off season, many foreign born PSL players have trooped to their home countries after a gruelling season in South Africa.
Many of these professionals have chosen to unwind and they often take to social media to capture every moment.
In the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango was one of the best performers at his club. The former Cranes captain played a pivotal role in helping the Brazilians clinch a domestic league treble.
For his efforts the seasoned goal minder was nominated for the prestigious PSL goalkeeper of the season award, an accolade he has previously won in 2016 and in 2021 respectively. During the current off season the 36 year old Kampala born goalkeeper has decided to jet off to his home country in Uganda where he is currently spending time with his family.
This weekend the veteran Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper took to his Instagram account to share a series of pictures where he was captured with villagers in his hometown watching cricket. Taking to the popular platform Denis Onyango would then go to caption the shared pictures with, "watching some cricket".
As of late the 2016 CAF Champions League winner has taken to his Instagram account to flaunt his luxurious Mitsubishi Pajero SUV. The high end ride was gifted to him by the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni in May 2021 for diligently serving his country through his football career.
Meanwhile, during his illustrious career on an international level which spanned over 15 years, Denis Onyango had the privilege of making 82 appearances before his retirement in April 2021.
At the height of his career, the talented goalkeeper established himself as a regular in the national team setup and also had the privilege of captaining Uganda at the 2017 AFCON tournament which was held in Libya.
