Khune Celebrates A Social Media Achievement

Itumeleng Khune (born 20 June 1987 in Tshing, Ventersdorp) is a South African footballer who has won numerous awards. He is a goalie for his PSL team, Kaizer Chiefs, as well as the South African national team. 

Itumeleng is the captain of both teams, and on December 1, 2007, he drew the attention of soccer fans both at home and abroad. He made three (3) penalty saves against Mamelodi Sundowns, putting him in the spotlight.

In the Telkom Knockout final, he denied Esrom Nyandoro and Peter Ndlovu from scoring. He is also only the second goalkeeper ever to be ordered to leave a FIFA World Cup match. This occurred in a football match versus Uruguay in June 2010.
