Kaizer Chiefs demolishes Chippa United, Gavin Job on the line?

It was the battle of two struggling teams when Kaizer Chiefs welcomed Chippa United coached by former trainer Gavin Hunt.

Chippa were the better team in the first 10 minutes of the game, dominating positions and make more entries in the box than Kaizer Chiefs who took the lead in the 12th minute by Keagan Dolly.

Kaizer Chiefs skipper Bernard Parker who has represented the club on 264th time equalling Tinashe Nengomasha’s 264th appearance at Kaizer Chiefs has entered the legendary status at the club.

Chippa should have punished Kaizer Chiefs much earlier in the game when Thokozani Sekotlong had a clear chance on goal let the chance begging.

The Glamour Boys took the lead on 12 minutes after Khama Billiat picked up a loose ball down the left-side to pass Keagan Dolly for a first-time finish from a very tight angle in the area.

Dolly doubled the lead before half time when Parker who was in an offside position decided not to play the ball, Dolly then used his skill to get past Chippa defense and finished it off in style.

Chippa tried to get back into the game through Siphesihle Mkhize’s low shot range outside the box but Daniel Akpeyi was up to the task.

Chilli Boys then made three contingency changes ahead of the second half which saw Sandile Mthethwa, Mogakolodi Ngele and Maloisane Mokhele introduced.

Amakhosi should’ve picked up a third earlier on after a three-on-three move where Dolly made pass to Phathutshedzo Nange, who was somehow surprised by the pass missed the golden opportunity by passing it straight to the keeper.

Sekotlong tried again to score for Chippa United by Daniel Akpeyi again proved to be the stumbling block for his former employers

Kaizer Chiefs then made things worse when then transfer listed Lazarous Kambole scored his first goal from his first appearance this season.
