The Spanish defender is struggling with an injury after joining the French club after a free transfer from Real Madrid this offseason.
The good news is that the 35-year-old has joined his teammates for training this week, but he doesn't play against Nantes on Saturday night.
Pochettino said: "For a World Cup winner like Sergio Ramos, it's hard to accept that he doesn't play as much as he wants at a competitive level and mentally, but he's very strong." .
“I think I'm working hard and getting good results. We had to be patient and he did. This means he has matured so I think he will return to the team soon.
“He trained three times this week. He's handling the stress well, and that's what brought him one step closer to the competition," he said.
