One of Orlando Pirates former players managed to score a second half equaliser to ruin Black Leopards lead in latest 1-1 draw.
It not going great for Black Leopards at all as they couldn't make a breakthrough in the GladAfrica Championship for a first win in the second division. Black Leopards after being relegated from the first division and now running out in the second division, things are yet to pick up pace for the former top flight club.
Black Leopards opened their GladAfrica Championship campaign last week with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Polokwane City at home for a point share, and now they managed to get another single point away from home against Uthongathi FC. It has only been two matches played to date in the GladAfrica Championship and they can still make it big in the Championship for a potential Premiership return.
Well the match between Uthongathi FC and Black Leopards started off well for Leopards as the made the first move in the match for a lead. Leopards was incredible as they scored a very early first half goal to get in the lead as they displayed their top flight experience. Leopards took the lead when Tiklas Thutlwa scored in the early 8th minute to lead at 1-0.
After taking the lead Black Leopards defended their one goal to end the first half at 1-0. In the second half of the match Leopards made a huge error which jeopardised their three points lead as they gave a penalty away for former Orlando Pirates star player Issa Sar to score from the penalty spot to level the score at 1-1.
And that penalty Leopards gave away managed to sink them for a three points win as the two clubs shared the points in the end. We'll just have to wait and see on matchday 3 if Black Leopards could get away with a win for their first three points in the league. Despite giving away the penalty and dropping points, Leopards did good to open the scoring that early after kick off.
