The football fraternity will soon bid farewell to one of its own as he has announced that he is hanging up his bots. The player who is 34-years-old, has played for a big club like Orlando Pirates, has made up his mind but he says he will not be lost to football.

Mark Mayambela, a once known bad boy changed his ways by going to church to mend his ways, even letting go of his drinking ways.
He last featured for Cape Umoya and has now called time on a 15-year career where he has featured for teams such as Chippa United, Bloemfontein Celtic and SuperSport United.
'Prof' also spent a spell in Europe for Swedish side Djurgardens IF during the 2014/15 season.

Mark Mayambela is a South African professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cape Umoya United, a relatively unknown club from the lower league. His finances may have dwindled down from playing for clubs in the DSTV Premiership and now to a lower side.
