Reports: Chiefs star gives the technical team nightmares after the recent performance

Kaizer Chiefs technical team have a lot of thinking to do when it comes to picking their best line up. Looking at the current squad, there's a department that might be stressful for the Chiefs is goalkeeping. This comes after, the DStv Compact Cup whereby fans voted for players that want they want to see on the pitch. That's when Itumeleng Khune shined above the best within the tournament and helped the Warriors FC clinch the trophy. Even though he was sidelined at Naturena for a while within the first half of the DStv Premiership, it seems like Khune found his best form within the DStv Compact Cup.

Chiefs have three other goalkeepers which are still trying to get in the good books of Stuart Baxter. As they're all gunning to get back to the Chiefs starting eleven against TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup. Many fans feel that Itu should get a run on this match, before Daniel Akpeyi who had been regarded as the clubs number one shot-stopper from the beginning of the season. Akpeyi went on to represent his home country Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) and not many fans were pleased with his performance as they got knocked out earlier than anticipated.

When it comes to Bruce Bvuma, he also got to be part of the DStv Compact Cup as he was Khune's deputy at Warriors. Bvuma is seen as the future of Amakhosi in terms of goalkeeping department and this was visible when his contract was renewed during the January transfer window. The Phefeni Glamour Boys also has the former Bidvest Wits goalie Brandon Petersen at their disposal. Hence, the Chiefs technical team will have a lot of work to do behind the scenes in terms of getting the right goalkeeper against Galaxy.
