Prior to the start of the 2022/23 season which kicked off this past weekend, the South African football community were shocked to learn of Hlompho Kekana's retirement announcement.

Hence, we decided to Honor one of South Africa's greatest midfielders by looking at his "top 5" goals in his career.

We start off with one scored against Mozambique in the African Nations Championship finals which was hosted by South Africa in January of 2014. Known for his long range strikes, this one was hit from almost 40 yards out.

Moving on to the next one also was a club goal scored against Orlando Pirates. A 35-yard strike which was too much for the goalkeeper to deal with.

Two goals down, three to go. The next goal is another international goal which was scored against Cameroon. What makes this goal more famous is that it was also nominated for the 2016 Puskas award.

Moving on to another famous strike is one against Orlando Pirates again as the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder proved a task to deal with for the defense of the Buccaneers.
