Confident Pirates to visit tricky Stellenbosch on Wednesday

Coach Jose Riveiro is thrilled with his team's ability to establish opportunities after starting his tenure at Orlando Pirates with a 1-0 victory over Swallows at Orlando Stadium. He speculates that it is only a matter of time until they are converted.

The Buccaneers would have easily won their first game if they had converted some of the chances they created in front of a decent crowd on Saturday. They had to settle for a 1-0 win after new signing Bienvenu Eva Nga scored the game's only goal on his debut earlier in the game.

The Spanish coach, who appeared relaxed even when his team was put under stress by the Swallows, promised that his team would score more goals if they advanced.

"We pay close attention to every department." "I'd rather finish the game [winning] than sit here and talk about the chances we missed," Riveiro told the media after the game.

"It means the plan worked and we got to play the game we wanted to play." The chances in the second half came from transition and quick attacks. Of course, I'll need to score more goals and be more relaxed in the final 10 minutes of the game.

"We knew it would happen in this game; we discussed it during the week."

Riveiro's side will be looking for their second win when they travel to Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday.

"Because I'm new here, I have people behind me, and now we're going to Stellenbosch for the first time." I know a few things about them because I'm doing my job. And I have a great team behind me with a lot of league experience, which is helping me out. Coach Mandla [Ncikazi] and others are advising us on the culture, opponents, and atmosphere that we will encounter.

"We are well prepared for such games." We will always strive to be a productive team that achieves results. We are ambitious and know what we want.
