Reports from sources like Sportbible.com say that Tom Ovrebo has said that Chelsea should have been given a penalty against Barcelona in 2009. But will Chelsea fans be able to forgive him?
Tom Henning Ovrebo, a former referee, had one of the worst games when Chelsea played FC Barcelona in the 2009 UCL Semi-finals. He didn't let the Blues get a lot of penalties.
He finally said today that Chelsea should have been given at least one penalty on that day, which brings us back to the question of whether Chelsea fans will ever forgive him.
Chelsea lost out on a place in the Champions League final because of bad refereeing on that day. Chelsea was supposed to play Manchester United in the final. I think Chelsea fans will forgive Tom Ovrebo, though.
