Throwback pictures of 3 PSL stars before stardom

In the PSL era most footballers in the top tier league in South Africa did not find that look that made them stand out before the fame.

Some of their pictures before stardom will probably leave most football fans busting out in laughter.

We profile the top 3 PSL stars who have shared pictures of themselves on social media before they became household names.

1. Willard Katsande

Born and raised in Mutoko Warriors midfielder Willard Katsande had to go through adversity to finally see his childhood dream become a reality. Having made his debut in the PSL in 2011 the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is a living legend in South African football.

Willard Katsande's rags to riches story is well documented all over his social media accounts. The 36 year footballer turned businessman is one of the few in the industry who has shared many pictures of his before stardom and browsing through them it is evident as day light that life was not smooth sailing back then.

3. Njabulo Ngcobo

Being a professional footballer was always a childhood dream of the current reigning DStv Premiership defender of the season. During his youthful years even on his Facebook account he constantly made it that school was not for him but he was going to be a footballer.

Back then "Roadblock" as he is affectionately known as even shared an akward picture of himself in possession of a guitar making us to be believe that he could have ended up as a musician if he did not realise his childhood dream.

3. Bernard Parker

Bernard Parker is one of the few footballers in South African football who has been on top of his game for well over a decade in the PSL. Before his rise to fame "Die Hond" as he affectionately known as is also one of the many in industry who grew up without much.

Parker's life before stardom is also well documented across social media as he has previously shared pictures of his before he became a household name.
