Former Chiefs player gets a new deal in Botswana

It has been reported that the former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Michelle Katsvairo, has now been unveiled at a new club in Botswana. Katsvairo is looking into making more progress in his footballing career.

Katsvairo had an unsuccessful spell at Amakhosi during the 2016/17 season, after that he also gave it a shot at CAPS United in Zimbabwe, before coming to South Africa to be part of Free State Stars. The Botswana Premier League side Township Rollers has allowed the 30-year-old to revive his career by signing him into their team.

The Township Rollers made the big announcement on their official Facebook account, as they stated that Katsvairo was playing Highlanders giants just before they snatched him away to reinforce their striking department for the new campaign. Katsvairo has been welcomed with open hands within the new team, as they hope that he will bring his experience to the side and make them increase their goal-scoring tally moving forward.

“Township Rollers is pleased to announce the signing of Zimbabwean forward Michelle Katsvairo, who joins the club from Zimbabwe Premier League giants Highlanders. In the past, the experienced forward played for Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars in the South African PSL and earned senior caps with the Zimbabwean national team, the Warriors. We warmly welcome him to the Popa family,” Rollers confirmed the signing in a statement on the club’s Facebook account.
