Chippa United plotting a rare smash and grab against Kaizer Chiefs: says Cameroon striker

The international break is done and dusted and action resumes in the DStv Premier Soccer League this weekend.

One of the most enticing fixtures of the weekend is the tie pitting Chippa United against bitter perennial rivals Kaizer Chiefs

The match is scheduled for FNB Stadium on Saturday and kick off is at 3pm.

Chippa United striker striker Bienvenu Eva Nga has admitted that the Chilli Boys are plotting a rare smash and grab victory over the Soweto giants.

The marksman is confident his side will pocket three points, even though the Gqeberha side have not had the best start in the league this season.

Chippa opened the season fired up with a win against PSL rookies Sekhukhune United, but their flame soon dimmed.

The Chilli Boys have not won a match since, with two draws and three losses.

Eva Nga is confident coach Gavin Hunt’s experience at Chiefs will give Chippa some insight in how to tame and beat Amakhosi on Saturday.

“The preparations have been going smoothly, my colleagues and I have been working really hard for this game,” the 28-year-old Cameroonian striker said.

“It’s a big game and everybody knows that.

“We are ready for the game and I know they are also ready. If we play how we've been the hard training this week, work that we have been putting in, then we will win. We know that Kaizer Chiefs are a big team and we have a coach who has coached the team.

He has only scored five goals since joining the Chilli Boys last year September.
