The South African Premier Soccer League [PSL] has produced some of the best talents in Africa and some of these players found new homes abroad after picking up experience PSL. The top three biggest and most successful clubs in South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs has arguably produced the best of the best of those who completed moves away from the PSL to clubs outside of the country.

Mamelodi Sundowns brightest former stars who completed moves abroad is Percy Tau who now plays with Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly in Egypt and Bongani Zungu who now finds himself at Amiens in France. Kaizer Chiefs has former players like Knowledge Musona and Ryan Moon who is making a success of their stay abroad. Knowledge Musona in particular plays for Al-Tai FC in the Saudi Arabian Premier League which are called the Saudi Pro League, could soon see another former Kaizer Chiefs star make his way to Saudi Arabia.

Former Kaizer Chiefs player Ovidy Karuru are believed to be on his way to Saudi Arabia to sign a deal with Saudi Arabian Second Division side Al-Shoulla FC, with a deal said to be finalised this week. Ovidy Karuru is a former Kaizer Chiefs player and plays for the Zimbabwean national team, with Knowledge Musona also a former Kaizer Chiefs player and a team member of the Zimbabwean national team.

The two Zimbabwean players are well familiar with each other and they could meet up in Saudi Arabia as they will now have known company. The two players will not feature in the same league though, but atleast they will get to see each other if possible. If Ovidy Karuru do get to sign a deal with the Saudi Arabian side Al-Shoulla, he made it very far in his football career going from Chiefs to Black Leopards to playing abroad.
