Another Amakhosi Star To Be Offloaded - Reports

Richards Bay have enquired about the services of a defender who does not appear to be a part of Arthur Zwane's plans for Kaizer Chiefs, despite the fact that Zwane has made it public that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing a new defender.

The international player for Bafana Bafana was a spectator for both of Chiefs' opening two league matches, which were played against Royal AM and Maritzburg United.

In addition to this, Austin Dube did not play more than an hour's worth of football in any of the eight games that he appeared in during the previous season when Zwane was serving as the interim coach.

And it was reported by the Siya crew that Amakhosi are looking to sign left-football center-back Edmilson Dove as the only natural candidate for that role is Dube. However, Amakhosi are looking to sign Dove. However, considering that Zwane is looking at Sifiso Hlanti as a potential candidate for that role and that Amakhosi is planning to sign Dove, the future does not look good for Dube.

It has been brought to the attention of Chiefs that former club Richards Bay would be interested in acquiring Dube on loan so that he can get more playing time.

And it has been reported in the most recent issue (1286) of Soccer Laduma that there are hints that the Natal Rich Boyz have inquired with the Chiefs regarding whether or not Dube would be open to returning to the club on loan.

It is likely that Dube will fall further down the pecking order at Naturena as a result of the impending arrival of Edmilson and Zwane's preference to use Siyabonga Ngezana as a left-footed center back even though Dube is available in that position.
