Breaking News: Kaizer Chiefs Decide On Goalkeeper Contract

The Kaizer Chiefs have made a choice on one of their main goalkeepers, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

Daniel Akpeyi has been an important goalie for Amakhosi in recent seasons.

Despite the club's difficult competition for goalkeepers, the Nigerian has been getting a lot of game time recently.

This comes after he started the previous three games for the club.

His contract with Amakhosi, though, is slated to expire at the end of the current season.

According to a club source, the Nigerian International goalkeeper will be given a two-year contract extension when his current term expires.

"Daniel Akpeyi's contract with Kaizer Chiefs is slated to end in June," the insider explained.

According to the source, the club is eager to keep the player for another two years.

Furthermore, the source stated that the club has great faith in Akpeyi and that both parties are committed to prolonging his stay.

Given his age, the source determined that Akpeyi might resign from the club.

The Nigerian goalkeeper is competing for the number one spot with Itumeleng Khune, Brandon Peterson, and Bruce Bvuma.
