Kaizer Chiefs has a history of winning in South African football and they are one of the most successful in the PSL. This is a club that has a humongous fanbase around the country and beyond. They have long been associated with the best players more especially player coming from out of the country. Many of these players managed to achieve success with Amakhosi and went on to become household names.
The star who was nicknamed 'Mnqombothi' was one of the best for Kaizer Chiefs during his time as a player. He was one of the finest export to play in Naturena as he was considered as a lethal striker as he would give defenders problems. He joined Amakhosi in 1988 before joining Bidvest Wits and eventually returning to the Gold and Black.
Aberlt Bwayla sat down for an interview with Thabiso Mosia on SA-FM to discuss his love for Amakhosi ahead of the Soweto Derby. He has shared on numerous that he enjoyed playing and scoring against Orlando Pirates during his day as a Kaizer Chiefs player. He also looked back on his career as well as share the memories he made with the club.

Bwayla shared that he is a fan of Kaizer Chiefs to this day as he shared that he was a wearing an Amakhosi jersey as he crooswd the border to his home country Zambia. He asserted that his love and passion for the Glamor Boys will never go away. It is amazing to note the impact football has had on the lives of people and decades later this is still evident.
There's no doubt about who he will be backing in the Derby on Saturday and he will surely be watching the game. He is considered as a legend for Amakhosi and fans also joined in as they shared their favorite memories of him during his time at Naturena. He was certainly adored and still is by many people in South Africa and Zambia more importantly.
