This season is surely going to be the season to forget for Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs have failed to deliver good results on regular basis this season and that has seen them lie on 9th place on the current DSTV Premier Soccer League this season. The Phefeni Glamour Boys have failed to make it to the next round of the Nedbank after they were surprisingly eliminated by Glad Africa Championship side Richards Bay.

Amakhosi began the first part of their seaon without their talisman Samir Nurkovic, who was ruled out because of an injury. When Nurkovic came back from injury he was influential as he helped Kaizer Chiefs win three games in a row and set up a very good comfortable ran of good results for that period.

Kaizer Chiefs coach later gave Nurkovic the captain's armband, and since Nurkovic was given the armband he has failed to help his team win a game. Since Nurkovic began their captain Kaizer Chiefs have only managed to draw their games while losing the rest. Samir Nurkovic has contributed to his team's success and he will be looking forward to doing so even more.
