Amakhosi reach contract decision with ex-coach?

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs and a former coach have struck a financial settlement over the termination of his contract, which had more than a year left on it.

When Amakhosi announced Stuart Baxter's resignation last month, one of the most important things the club and the coach had to figure out was how much money the Englishman would take home.

The terms of the settlement were not made public, although it is believed that Baxter agreed to a lucrative deal.

According to Siya sources, Baxter is scheduled to be paid around R3 million as part of a four-month settlement fee, as published in the 1271st issue of Soccer Laduma.

Baxter's second spell at Chiefs lasted only ten months and 23 DStv Premiership games. He had signed a contract that ran until 2023, with a two-year extension option.

For a variety of reasons, including bad results and public comments, the 68-year-old Britishman was shown the departure door.

And news has reached the Siya team that Baxter, who led Chiefs to two league titles in his debut season, is looking for a coaching job in South Africa.
