Kekana delighted with Sundowns start

Since his move to Chloorkop, defender Grant Kekana has revealed his thoughts on Mamelodi Sundowns' excellent defensive displays.

After six years with Tshwane rivals SuperSport United, Kekana joined Sundowns ahead of the season.

In a 2-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, the 28-year-old defender also scored his first goal for the Brazilians.

"As defenders, we don't have many chances to get inside the box and score, so we have to take advantage of those situations," Kekana added.

"My pairing with Rushine De Reuck is the same as it is with Mosa or Ricardo Nascimento," Kekana explained.

"Everything, I believe, boils down to preparation. Various combinations are tried during training, making it easier for us to gel during games "..

"So we get acquainted to one other during training, and we also developed a solid understanding during preseason, so it's doable."

"TS Galaxy is a hard working team. We know that they are going to go all out. Even in Owen da Gama, they have a good coach, but at the end of the day our quality will speak for itself. We just need to go into the game and apply ourselves well and hopefully get a positive result. It will be a very physical game, but they also have to adapt to our style of play."
