Pirates coach demands more from Xola Mlambo

After getting a rare start against Bidvest Wits at Ellis Park Stadium,Xola Mlambo is more than capable of doing more in the Pirates team according to his coach Josef Zinnbauer.

The German coach drafted the Soweto born midfielder, together with Fortune Makaringe and Ben Motswari in a congested three midfield against the students, Mlambo was later taken off during the second half of the game.

Zinnbauer says Mlambo who last played during Rhulani Mokwena's tenure, can do more for Pirates, this besides the fan favorite finding himself down the Pirates midfield packing order.

“Mlambo has been working hard at training, he wanted to play, but I know he can do better, I know what he can do and he knows what he can do for the team" said ZinnbauerMlambo has been struggling to break into the Pirates midfield,Motswari and Makaringe are the preferred pairing in Josef Zinnbauer starting line up,Linda Mtambo and Siphesihle Ndlovu have played the role of covering for the regulars.

Pirates added Nkanyiso Zungu during the January transfer window,the player who arrived with an injury finally made his debut last week against Mamelodi Sundowns in the 0-0 draw.
