Wimbledon tennis tournament Canceled

Amidst the spreading of the Covid-19 worldwide and the whole world taking precautions it was not surprising to get the news that Wimbledon one of the greatest tennis events had to be canceled, and it will only be staged the following year.

Some of the well-known figures in the tennis fraternity had since expressed shock with the announcement of the cancelation of such a big even, since it was last stopped in the World War ll, Roger Federer one of the much known figures in the tennis sport had this one word to sum it up through his Twitter page "Devastated" the eight times men's singles Wimbledon champion said, with the seven times women's singles Wimbledon Champion Serena Williams responding with the word "Shooked" on her Page.

Simona Halep, The Romanian who defeated Serena Williams to win the Wimbledon for the first time last year had this to say, "So sad to hear Wimbledon won't take place this year"

BUT all the England Club Chiefs had no choice but to stop the so much loved Grass- Court-event that was first staged in 1887 due to the Heath crisis across the globe.

The Wimbledon Chiefs pulled the plug about the event yesterday as a result of the chaos engulfing the planet due the spreading of Pandemic.

The Pandemic have affected the staging of the several sporting events with the International Olympics Committee (IOC) being the first to pull the plug when they announced late last month that there won't be Olympics as well as Paralympic events this year.

The hope is the all we be back to normal in 2021.
