For Mamelodi Sundowns at the moment the recent developments concerning their pursuit of SuperSport United top class midfielder Sipho Mbule will not make some of their supporters too happy and too pleased
Because it had emerged last week that out of all the big clubs that are interested in signing Sipho Mbule the closest one is Mamelodi Sundowns considering they are able to pay whatever it takes to sign the player from SuperSport United
And it is very much known that SuperSport United had been demanding quite a lot of money for Sipho Mbule considering the fact that he is one of the best midfielders in South African Football and his stock has skyrocketed off the roof
Although SuperSport United have always maintained that they would prefer to sell Sipho Mbule to an overseas based club considering that they would make quite a lot of money from that than selling him to a local based club here in South Africa
But then it has been thought that Mamelodi Sundowns are the club that have been leading the race to sign Sipho Mbule from SuperSport United then again those plans took a slight blow most recently because of certain developments
And those particular developments have been the fact that although Mamelodi Sundowns have been leading the race to sign Sipho Mbule from SuperSport United it had emerged that the player's first preference would be to sign for Kaizer Chiefs
There have also been developments that Kaizer Chiefs have tabled an offer for Sipho Mbule which was revealed by his agent Mike Makaab through a local radio station in Durban which definitely makes the race for Sipho Mbule very exciting
And sources close to the situation have revealed that Sipho Mbule would be better off signing for Kaizer Chiefs rather than Mamelodi Sundowns due to the level of competition there at the club particularly in midfield where he plays
"He stands a better chance of playing regular football at Chiefs, because unlike Sundowns, there are not many players who are competing for a position at Chiefs, but everything depends on SuperSport,"
At this moment it appears that despite Mamelodi Sundowns being heavily linked with a move for Sipho Mbule the player has his heart set on signing for the Glamour Boys with his own club and Masandawana currently standing in the way of that
