Out In The Cold? Chiefs Future In Doubt…

In the 2021/22 season, the Kaizer Chiefs were able to welcome a number of talents. Furthermore, the Chiefs management gave several of their existing players the green light, resulting in stronger terms that will keep them at Naturena for another season. What keeps a player in a squad right now is doing well and simply displaying a desire to be on the field. The Chiefs increased their roster, resulting in good competition at every position. Now, it's expected that one of their midfielders' futures will be reviewed soon as his contract expires.

Since Chiefs new coach Stuart Baxter arrived at Naturena, Kearyn Baccus has expressed anxiety about not being included in the matchday squad, according to Soccer Laduma. He, too, is getting older, therefore he prefers to spend more time on the field than on the bench. This is normal for many athletes who want to be in the thick of things and contribute to the team in whatever way they can. The 30-year-old midfielder has yet to play a game in the current 2021/22 season, and he wonders when his chance will come. Baccus' chances of playing time were made more difficult by the entrance of new players at Chiefs. In the heart of C, Baxter has preferred to use Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange.

Baccus hasn't been a favorite of the current coach, despite Chiefs supporters being satisfied with his performances. However, it appears that coaches differ, since he didn't play much last season even under previous Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt. Fans have been asking with the technical team to get Baccus back into the starting lineup because he brings a variety of skills to the club. However, given that his contract expires on June 30th, there are hints that he may reconsider his options. He can then sign a pre-contract with any team he wants in January. Baccus' future with the Chiefs will be determined by time.
