"I'm Not Going To RETIRE Anytime Soon " Itumeleng Khune Sets The Record Straight

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and former captain Itumeleng Khune has put one fan in their place, this after they suggested that he quits football or retire. The fan who wrote his wish to have a farewell match done in Khune's honor had the player respond to his tweet with a simple, "I'm not going to retire anytime soon fam."

The Amakhosi and Bafana Bafana former number one goalie has not enjoyed much game time in the last couple of seasons due to injury, has been working hard to try come back to Chiefs' starting eleven and hopefully also go back to the national team.

The return of coach Stuart Baxter to Chiefs was deemed as a turning point to Khune, who was a favourite player for the English-speaking coach at his first stint in Naturena, but sadly this has not gone well. Khune is yet to play regularly.

His contract expired but Chiefs were generous enough to offer him a contract extension which will expire soon.

Share your thoughts, do you think Khune still has what it takes to play professionally for the next years or if Chiefs should give him another contract?
