It Could Have Been Pirates If It Wasn't For Lorch | OPINION

After having managed to overcome DRC power house TP Mazembe, Moroccan giants RS Berkane set up a date with South African giants Orlando Pirates in Uyo Nigeria, but they never went there to play, they sat back and allowed Pirates to attack them hoping for a counter attack, Richard Ofori was literally a spectators on that game until he was called to try and save a penalty during extra-time, something he did not managed, he also managed to convert one himself to keep the Holes of the Buccaneers alive, but things did not go well for Mandla Ncikazi's troops, they only came home with a silver medal since they finished second on the competition.

The Buccaneers were having a good game, they could have won it before half-time if Deon Hotto was clinical in front of goal, they created a couple of good goal scoring opportunities which the former Bidvest Wits attacker did not manage to put away, he was wasteful and on such stage, you don’t get a second chance to score, once you miss a chance it is gone and you might find yourself regretting.

As opposed to Orlando Pirates who will not get any hero's welcome when they get to the OR Tambo International Airport, Berkane were welcome by their excited fans with a hero's welcome, their fans were all over with fire crackers, the air was painted orange as the fans welcome home their heros who managed to be crowned CAF Confederations Cup Champions despite not having a good game.

Pirates fans could have been that happy and welcomed their heros the way the Moroccan side was welcomed Berkane if it was not for Thembinkosi Lorch who had his penalty saved, he turned from hero to valin after he managed to bring the team back to the game with only three minutes of extra time remaining to play.
