Fezile was involved in a car accident that saw his car written off on Saturday in East London.
He told the media that at the time of the accident he was coming from his home village of Kampini in Chalumna and travelling with a friend. Fuzile’s car was driving a VW Golf GTI.
Fuzile said he had been tired when the accident happened.
“I was tired and I asked my friend to drive. He hesitated as his driving was not perfect. I told him to drive slowly. The next thing, we were in an accident. The accident happened in the West Bank area.”
Fuzile’s sister, Akhona, confirmed the accident and said the vehicle was a write-off.
“I am glad that no-one was hurt and both Azinga and his friend are fine,” she said.
His promoter, Rumble Africa Promotions (Rap), refused to comment, referring all questions to his trainer, Mzamo “Chief” Nyekanye, who could not be reached as his cellphone was off the whole day.
“We will not comment, please speak to chief,” Rap CEO Nomfesane Nyatela said.
