Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has sang high praises for Bernard Parker following a 2-1 win over Supersport United Sunday evening.
Amakhosi managed to end SSU's unbeaten run in the league this season and thanks to Parker's brace that secured maximum points for the visitors.
Following yesterday's victory Chiefs moved to the fifth position in the log table.
Parker also secured the man of the match award in the process.
This all comes after the 35-year old has come under a lot of critics from Amakhosi fans recently following his underwhelming performance last season.
Speaking after the game Baxter was full of praises for Parker for his application on and off the field.
"When you've worked as long and as hard as Bernard has, it's very easy for people to say you're over the hill and you're not up to it," said Baxter.
Baxter added that Parker is an example that other young players at the club should emulate and learn from him.
He said Parker is an example of players they want to produce in South Africa.
He concluded that the player is humble, hardworking and a good team player and he is worth a place at Chiefs.
Amakhosi will welcome Stellenbosch for their next DStv Premiereship game on 2 November.
