JUST IN: Two suspects arrested after Pirates star hijacking

The winger for the Orlando Pirates, Vincent Pule, was reportedly kidnapped and two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The Daily Sun published a disturbing article earlier this month claiming that on July 31 in Johannesburg, a player for the Pirates had his black BMW car and other belongings stolen in a kidnapping.

Pule was allegedly abducted at the same time, though the report provides few specifics.

Suspects allegedly used Pule's bank cards to buy alcohol in Soweto, so police were able to trace them there.

In the latest news on the matter, it’s reported by the Daily Sun on Friday that the police have recovered Pule’s black BMW 1 series in Riverlea in Western Johannesburg, and two men – aged 32 and 40 – were arrested for possession of a hijacked vehicle and unlicensed ammunition.

On Saturday, August 6th, Pirates and Swallows met in Orlando Stadium for the first game of the season, a derby. Before the 2022/23 season, Pule was expected to wear jersey number 45 for the Buccaneers' first team.
