Former left-back for Cape Town City, Edmilson Dove, was spotted at the Chiefs' training facility in Naturena, sparking speculation that the team was examining him.
The team decided to deny the rumors in the interim by declaring his presence on their official Twitter account. The Glamour Boys have signed the Mozambican international player to a two-year deal with a third-year option.
"The Chiefs welcome Edmilson Dove. For the 2022–2023 DStv Premiership season, Edmilson Gabriel Dove has committed to the Amakhosi on a two-year deal with a one-year option "Chiefs got the go-ahead.
They stated, "The gifted left-footed player who can play wing-back and central defense has been working out with Amakhosi and will be qualified to play once his paperwork is completed.
After asking for his contract to be ended, Dove was let go by Cape Town City in January without a ceremony.
It was mostly due to the fact that he had a long-term injury and was unable to return to the first team.
