According to reports, Lionel Messi has been dissatisfied with certain aspects of life in France since joining Paris Saint-Germain in August.

The Argentine has been at the Ligue 1 giants for about two months, a transfer that would not have happened if Barcelona's dire financial position had prevented the club from offering him a new deal.

Messi said in a recent interview that he was certain he would be playing for the Catalan club in the 2021/22 season before learning that he would have to find a new team.

The 34-year-old was presented as a PSG player at the Parc des Princes just days after his official exit from the Blaugrana, but it hasn't been all smiles for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner in the French capital since.

Messi was left with a bad taste in his mouth, according to Spanish football analyst Guillem Balague, after terms of his massive deal in France were leaked by the French press.

The 2021 Copa America winner would make a net income of £94 million (R.1 billion) over three seasons at PSG if he stays for the entirety of his initial contract, according to L'Equipe.

Balague, writing on BBC Sport, also reported that Messi was dissatisfied with the media's coverage of his quest for a home in France, claiming that some journalists went so far as to interview estate agents. According to reports, he thought his privacy was mostly respected in Spain.
